Barb Jungr - Shelter From The Storm - Sunday Mercury

Shelter From The Storm sees Barb Jungr, one of the UK's finest interpreters of song, join hands across the Atlantic with Laurence Hobgood, the American progressive and contemporary jazz piano virtuoso, to create this ambitious new album.

It was recorded at Sear Sound Studios in New York City along with supporting musicians Michael Olatuja on bass and Wilson Torres on percussion.

The album includes three original songs from Barb Jungr and Laurence Hobgood, alongside versions of songs written by Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, Joni Mitchell, Bruce Springstein, Steven Sondheim, Peter Gabriel, Burt Bacharach and Hal David.
