The next Linn recording by The Marian Consort will be A Winged Woman, a programme which showcases its commissions from some of the UK’s finest composers, with music by Dani Howard, James MacMillan, Electra Perivolaris, Howard Skempton and others.

Dedicated to contemporary music, A Winged Woman captures The Marian Consort's creation of an ambitious and expanding body of new work for vocal ensemble commissioned from some of the UK's most exciting composers, with seven world premiere recordings. The works challenge traditions and tropes in imaginative and refreshing ways, often exploring musical styles outside typical classical choral music. A Winged Woman takes its name from the work by Scottish-Greek composer Electra Perivolaris

The recording is scheduled for release in autumn 2023, and will be a great addition to its existing Linn discography: Vicente Lusitano: Motets and Josquin, Lusitano & Williams: Inviolata.
