Retrospect enter the charts

"Henry Purcell: Ten Sonatas in Four Parts" by Retrospect Trio is a new entry in this week's Official UK Classical chart.  The album which was named 'CD of the Week' in the Sunday Times last week, entered the chart at Number 16.

This debut album sees the Trio explore and emphasize the unique aspects of Purcell's remarkable sonatas creating a truly outstanding recording and a fitting 350th anniversary tribute.

"Henry Purcell: Ten Sonatas in Four Parts" is in good company as it joins other highly respected Linn Records releases among those special recordings which have made their way into the chart.  The latest two chart entries for Linn Records albums were for "Mozart Symphonies 38-41" and "Beethoven Piano Concertos 3, 4 & 5", both by Sir Charles Mackerras and the SCO.
