Linn Records Nominated for Six International Classical Music Awards
Linn Records is proud to announce that six Linn recordings have been nomiated for the 2011 International Classical Music Awards.
The critics have spoken and three Linn recordings have been named by MusicWeb International's reviewers as their Recordings of the Year: Samson by Dunedin Consort, John Butt and the Tiffin Boys' Choice, the debut album by Maxwell Quartet and Elizabeth Kenny's theorbo recording, Ars longa. Simon Thompson chose Dunedin Consort's recording of Handel's Samson describing it as "a taught, exciting reading with the very finest performances and top notch sound. Excellent!"
Marc Rochester chose Maxwell Quartet's debut album of Haydn stating: "When it comes to eccentric programming, few releases this year have matched the Maxwell Quartet’s debut disc... one of the year’s great pleasures."
